Document processing
stays local.

OCRjus does not operate a document-processing server and does not upload your PDFs or recognized text to the developer.

Files and recognition

The app reads files you choose, files you explicitly share to it and images from the system document camera when you grant camera access. OCR and PDF operations run on your Mac or iPhone using bundled code and Apple frameworks. The app keeps private working and result copies locally, then exports a separate copy to the destination you choose. It does not require an OCRjus account.

Local storage and retention

Private working copies, page checkpoints, output copies and a small queue history allow recovery after an interruption. Job records include a local display filename, page selection, processing settings, status and page-level results; they do not preserve the original full path. OCR text is present in the working PDFs and page checkpoints, not a separate cloud database.

Finished or inactive jobs and shared input copies are removed after 30 days when the app runs. You can clear finished history, delete an individual local job or discard shared copies sooner. Temporary import and camera files are private and are cleaned by the app or operating system. PDFs you export are independent and are not deleted by history cleanup. Saved recognition profiles remain until you remove its local data.

Protected documents

A document password is used in memory for the requested operation and is not saved by OCRjus. An authorized unlocked working copy may remain in private local storage until cleanup. Your source file is not changed. Device protection, system backups and any file provider you select remain subject to your system settings and those providers’ policies.

Purchases and Apple services

Apple manages payment, subscription renewal, refunds and Apple Account information. OCRjus reads verified StoreKit entitlements to decide which operations are available. The developer does not receive your payment card details through the app. Apple may process service and diagnostic data under its own policies and your device settings.

Diagnostics and contact

OCRjus includes no advertising or third-party analytics SDK and does not automatically send document diagnostics to the developer. You can preview an optional support report containing app/system versions and job outcome counts, with no filenames, document text or identifiers, and choose whether to share it. If you choose to contact support by email, the developer receives the information you send and uses it to respond and investigate that request. Do not include confidential documents, passwords or case information. You may request deletion of support correspondence by contacting the address below, subject to any applicable retention obligations.

This website

The support website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. The host processes technical request data, such as IP address and browser information, to deliver and protect the site. The site code uses no advertising, analytics scripts, tracking cookies or document upload form. Email links open your chosen mail app; they do not automatically send a message.
