Process your first PDF
- Choose Import files. On iPhone, you can also use the system document camera or share a PDF/image to OCRjus, then open Shared files in the app.
- Select OCR, a page range and the document languages. A blank range means all pages; it never silently limits the document to its first 10 pages.
- Start processing. Follow the phase and page count. If interrupted, select the local job and choose Resume.
- Review the PDF, search for a distinctive phrase and test text selection. Check the page report and repeat failed pages when needed.
- Choose Save PDF and a folder. For split output, save an individual part or all parts together. Existing files are not replaced.
PDF tools and profiles
Extract, rotate, merge and split work without OCR. Merge follows the supplied file order. Split by size uses MiB (1,048,576 bytes), a target of 180 MiB and a maximum of 200 MiB by default. The values are editable. A page larger than the maximum produces an error, not automatic quality reduction.
Generic document, Autos Eproc and Camera scan profiles organize recognition settings. Eproc mode is explicit and depends on recognizable headers; it does not connect to courts or cover every Eproc variant. A checksum-valid process number may be offered as an optional filename with a preview.
Finder and Shortcuts
On Mac, use the OCRjus service for selected PDF/image files in Finder or drag files into the app. If the service is hidden, enable it in macOS Keyboard Shortcuts → Services.
In Shortcuts, add a file selection action, then Queue OCR, Queue PDF split or Queue PDF merge. For the free mode, supply one file and at most 10 explicit pages. The action opens OCRjus and returns job identifiers: those are queue receipts, not completed PDFs. Finish by reviewing and saving the results in OCRjus.
Common questions
What happens when the iPhone is locked?
OCRjus requests native background continuation when available and saves page checkpoints. iOS may suspend or end the work because of system conditions. Keep the app open when continuation is unavailable; resume the saved job after an interruption.
My PDF needs a password
Enter its authorized password in the app. It is used locally and is not saved. The app creates a private working copy; the original remains protected and unchanged. Copying and printing restrictions may prevent processing.
The document already contains OCR
Existing text is normally preserved. Replacing OCR is an explicit advanced option that only accepts invisible text layers the app can safely separate. Unsupported structures fail with an explanation instead of rasterizing the page or stacking another layer.
How do I restore or cancel a subscription?
Open Subscription → Restore purchases using the Apple Account that purchased it. Manage or cancel through your App Store subscriptions. Monthly and annual plans provide the same access; Family Sharing is not enabled. Previously exported PDFs remain yours after expiry.
Manage Apple subscriptionsHow do I clear local copies?
Use Clear finished history or delete an individual local job. Shared copies can be discarded from Shared files. Exported PDFs are separate and are never removed by history cleanup. Inactive local jobs and shared copies are cleaned after 30 days when the app runs.
